It’s all change for Jason Atherton as Little Social is having a facelift and a name change, re-opening as No.5 Social this May. Executive Chef Kostas Papathanasiou will be heading up the kitchen, pivoting away from the French bistro feel of Little Social and focusing on seasonal British produce.
Dishes on the No.5 Social will include poached Hebridean halibut with celeriac truffle emulsion and pickled mushrooms; roasted Herdwick lamb chop and cannon with Jersey Royal potatoes and spring peas; and chocolate fondant with blackcurrant sorbet.
The same ethos continues through to the drinks with the wine list will featuring English bottles and the cocktail menu showcasing British ingredients like dandelion, rhubarb and sloe gin. As well as the menu change, the space itself is getting made over, with the dark leather and wood being swapped for duck egg blue, pale pinks and rattan accents.
